One of the major resources of any silviculture contracting company is the quality of worker that it attracts. Zanzibar has built a strong reputation for having some of the most experienced and competent silviculture workers in the province. This reputation has been built from Zanzibar’s hiring and recruiting process. Zanzibar requires a minimum of 3 years planting experience before they are considered for hire. We have a high return rate, which gives us the ability to retain skilled staff and invest in their development yearly.
We continue to develop successful management process that focus on communication and accessibility. We have designated operations managers to support planting supervisors. Supervisors are assigned to contracts to liaise, negotiate, and plan. Our project foreman and planters build an essential base of local knowledge that informs daily decisions about microsite selection.
Zanzibar successfully manages a diverse set of activities such as record keeping, stock tracking, and invoicing. Zanzibar has a wide understanding of management and database systems, and is able to integrate it with clients operating systems. We use digital databases such as Plant Wizard to track data and generate reports efficiently and quickly. Daily activities are recorded and coordinated in Plant Wizard, which enables our clients staff access to review our systems on a daily basis.
